About the Program

The CNA+ to LPN Bridge Program is a collaborative initiative between University of Hawaii Maui College and Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center (WCCHC), with the Healthcare Association of Hawaii serving as the sponsoring organization.

This 12-month hybrid program includes:

Online lectures
In-Person labs
Clinical training at selected employer sites

Participants will continue working as WCCHC employees while completing the program and will receive stipends to support their training journey.

This program creates a meaningful pathway for current CNA or equivalent to:

Expand their clinical skills
Advance within the nursing profession
Build long-term, sustainable careers in healthcare

Eligibility Requirements

Must be a current employee of Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center
Must have CNA, MA or equivalent
Must complete all prerequisites prior to program start
Must submit an application through University of Hawaii Maui College

English 22 or 100
Math 75x or higher
*BIOL 100 or PHYL 141 or 142
*PHRM 203
PSY 100 or 240 or HDFS 230
